2007 round-up

Cheers to a New Year and another chance for us to get it right -Oprah Winfrey

It's time of the year again..a time of reminiscing, remembering the what's good and what's not before the curtain fall on 2007 and the new carpet of 2008 is set to roll. This is my complilation of things I remember about 2007.

1. Its new but certainly one of the event that will be remembered by people in Pakistan and the rest of the world, the assasination of Pakistani ex-prime minister Benazir Bhutto.Somehow the Bhutto's family fate is written to be a political drama tainted with blood.

2. The heinous crime that haven't been solved until today, the death of 8 years old Nurin Jazlin Jazimin who went missing on the way to the night market, nationwide search was launch in hope to find her but all hopes were shattered when her body was found stuffed in a sports bag left outside a shop. I still hope in 2008 the police will catch the scumbag who touchured and killed her.

3. Hey 2007 isn't all about death, Malaysia achieved its dream of joining the elite space nation when we manage to pay the Russian to launch the very first Malaysian angkasawan to space.Although the elite part is still questionable since we didn't create the rocket, nor did we contribute in any of the technology aspect, the only Malaysian stuff was of course Dr. Sheikh Muzaphar Shukor... oh by the way 'why the heck we need to buy the SOYUZ capsule?'

4. Britney oohh Britney, while her other Mickey Mouse Club alma mater like Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera were breaking into the charts with their music achievement, Britney Spears managed to grab the media attention for all the wrong reason. Her latest single 'Give Me More' should be change to 'No More'. I'm getting sick of her antics.

Absurd invention

I've been hitting writer's block for a couple of weeks...a new database to design and wondering whether I want to change the website layout..kind of trip off my mind on creative writing for a while.

Since witty, funny comment's left for the holiday season I decided to post something about inventions by people who seens to have a lots of idea. Who know it might inspire some of us to think creatively.

12 Gauge Golf Club US Patent Issued In 1979

Golf game got you down? Now you can have explosive drives every time with the 12 Gauge Golf Club! This special woody features a barrel, muzzle and a trap door in the rear for loading your explosive charge. The firing pin is aligned with the clubs sweet spot for blasting your balls into oblivion (careful).

Sure, the golf course is going to sound like a firing range and your clubs recoil may take out a few spectators, so we think it may be time to start the new XGT - Xtreme Golf Tour.

Brain BuzzerInternational Patent Issued In 1998

Do you know someone that falls asleep at inopportune moments? Maybe you find yourself ready to doze off during class, while driving or during a not-so-hot date. If you want to keep the Sandman at bay yet not disturb others during your quest to stay awake, you need the Brain Buzzer!

To use; simply bite down on the vibrating wand (the small end please) and vibrations are transmitted to the brain, buzzing you awake without aggravating your neighbors. Many thanks to the Thinky Corporation of Tokyo, Japan for this absurd invention. ..want to try??

You think it's wierd but weird inventions can be profitable. I just saw a report on the news about an automated dog wash at a car wash. Get the car and the dog clean all at once! Of course, ideas for inventions that are just weird and interesting or funny is okay too. By the way, the ideas below are not patented, so feel free to take them, make them, patent them and earn a few dollars with them. Good luck!

Wind chimes made from bones. There are a lot of people out there who like the morbid side of life, and I'll bet they buy wind chimes too. Of course, they don't have to be human bones!

If we can have a brain buzzer why not a machine that induces naps. There are some of the brain wave entrainment CDs that are said to be really powerful. One can be put to sleep everytime, anytime of the day. This technology could be used to create a system for baby cribs and kid's beds. The machine would play CDs which slow down brain waves and puts kids to sleep. More than a few parents would buy this.

Wall-mounted furniture. Have a steel track built into the perimeter of the room, and furniture designed to hang from this. The couches, tables and chairs wouldn't need legs, and would be easy to clean under. Of course, if you produce the system, the customer has to buy furniture from you.

Furniture that glows in the dark. Perhaps it would be more practical to have just the edges trimmed with a glow-in-the-dark material. No more bumping into the coffee table in the dark, and a nice party atmosphere too.

Alarm clock that uses voices. Here's one of those easy inventions, and it isn't even that weird. Use one of the "sampler" chips that are found in electronic keyboards. Push the button to record a short message-alarm. Wake up to your own voice, or record a wake-up message from a sexy friend for more motivation. Have it say what you want. "You're late for work!" might work, or might just give you a heart attack.

Exam survival kit. Are you ready for that big exam? Now you are, with your new Examomatic Survival Kit. The kit contains caffeine pills, ginkgo biloba capsules, aromatic oils that "wake up" the brain, and a dozen quick tips for instantly raising your IQ. Isn't it nice?

Wedding and McDreamy..

Congratulation to Mr Ridzuan and Mrs Aznee Amir now on your lovely wedding and I would like to quote Kahlil Gibran 'You were born together, and together you shall be for evermore....but let there be spaces in your togetherness. And let the winds of the heavens dance between you'. Felicitation again to both of you.

Two +1/2 day in KL attending Aznee's wedding reception. She had invited me long even before she got officially engaged and I just have to come. She is one of my friend back in high school that I keep in touch with, one of the very few and one of the closest. A few that I felt comfortable with standing in my skin. (you know the somewhat quiet persona not too bubbly person but not serious at all...sometimes yes, ussually involving work but I'm a bit of an imp inside)

The wedding went well, her parents was just wonderful...I don't really mind actually if they don't give any special treatment just because I came all the way from Penang. I just want to be there for Aznee's wedding. (you had too after almost 8 years of twistfull love story wondering just who is the right guy that will sweep her off her feet). Never met her husband but they really look quite 'cute' together. Kind like a perfect fit.

After the whole event..went bact to hotel for a rest and since I still got like 1/2 of Sunday ..decided to watch 'Enchanted' at IMAX. What's a better way to end a perfect day full of celebration to love. Its a Disney movie...what do you expect? Reality is out the window...Lovely cast...wonderful story good songs. (it's a musical by the way)..For those whose still a child at heart, you will enjoy it...since I'm watching it at IMAX I got to see McDreamy face with the size of a giant billboard...ahhh things you do went you have money too burn.

Now join hands, and with your hands your hearts. - William Shakespeare

Perbincangan akhir beli Soyuz minggu depan

KUALA LUMPUR 23 Nov.

‘‘Dia gadis tempatan. Mereka akan bertunang tahun hadapan,” katanya.

My first reaction reading the news....what the heck? Didn't we jus throw out almost RM 100 million to send the fisrt Malaysian to space. Do we need to throw another few million to buy some space junk and put it in a museum? To promote awareness amongst kids!!...Tsk..tsk..the reason given has hole that you can drive a Boeing 737 through it.

Can't we just make a model of the SOYUZ TMA-11 scrap. I'm sure it will be much cheaper in short and long term. Keeping the metal scrap in good condition will need a lot of money, You can't just polish it with wax and hope it doesn't fall apart in 10 years time. Why do we need to purchase it. I didn't say a thing about our first space expedition hopping something good really does materialise from the so called 'space experiment' (although most of the experiment is like the NASA space experiments in the 70's). But like Bill Gates always said you don't need to be a pioneer at everything. Just follow the lead, who knows one day we can surpase it.

But buying a space junk?? Instead of buying the metal scrap by bulk from the Russian, there are a lot of other things the goverment can do with the money, fund researches right here in the country for example..cancer, denggue, new biotechnology or upgrade the facilities to help the disabled. But instead we want to purchase space junk..in the name of science...Gesshhh the Russian must be laughing to the bank right now.

Just when you think the goverment has learned their lesson when their realise the state of the art figther jet they purchase from the US 20 years ago was actually junk yard material. Did we choose idiots to represent our nations?? ..and since when did the Science and Technology Minister has to make announcement on people engagement???

Seeking happiness

I don't know what your destiny will be, but one thing I do know: the only ones among you who will be really happy are those who have sought and found how to serve -Albert Schweitzer

A few gloomy period past my day..some incident that will surely engrave in some part of my brain that had certainly alter a few aspect of my life. Happiness does come at a very high price.

Remembering those events somehow remind me of a story I read in Waris Dirie outobiagrapy, a story of a poor village sheperd with nothing else except a few goats and a tent to live in, but he was a very happy man and everyone around knew so, contrary to the king of the land who has everything he wanted and more but somehow is a very unhappy man. One day the king decided to seek this poor sheperd to ask him what is it that makes him happy. He hopes for some kind of happiness formula from the sheperd.

So one day the sheperd is brought to see the king and his glorious castle. The sheperd was awestruck. When asked my the king what is it that makes him happy he just reply that he has everything he needed and are very contented with it. Listening to the answer the king fely cheated because he has everything he wanted yet he is still unhappy. Anyway the sheperd was send back to his village but things change for him because after the visit to the castle, seeing how magnificent the life of the king, his life as a sheperd seems constricted. He wanted more...at the end the happy sheperd became an unhappy person because he has seen the what wealth and money can buy. He was not contented anymore. As the king ....he remains an unhappy man.

I want to be happy but somehoe knowings some facts can steer you out of it.

Happiness is not in the mere possession of money; it lies in the joy of achievement, in the thrill of creative effort -Franklin D. Roosevelt

Apologize

Always forgive your enemies - nothing annoys them so much - Oscar Wilde

The only problem is...can you just find it in you to forgive the person? It's cliche, talking is easy..doing it takes a lot of guts. We can say it is easy to forgive but did we actually learn to do it properly? It is one thing to come up to a person and say 'I'm sorry' but forgiving is not about just saying it but to learn to let the past go and move on. To be able to sit down again at the same table and chat. To still smile without feeling awkard. To be able to look at the person in the eyes and talk heart to heart again. Can you actually do it?

Personally I have a long way to go before I can have a hallo floating over my head or maybe none what so ever. I could learn to forgive but to forget?

Sincere forgiveness isn't colored with expectations that the other person apologize or change. Don't worry whether or not they finally understand you. Love them and release them. Life feeds back truth to people in its own way and time- Sara Paddison

Smell

Seeing, hearing and feeling are miracles, and each part and tag of me is a miracle. - Walt Whitman

The poet is right. Once I lost my voice, I know how it felt like to be mute. To be able to listen yet finding it hard to reply. Wanting to shout but your voice it shut. It was irritating and sad, but it make me realize things we take for granted everyday is the thing you will miss the most if it was taken away from you even for a while because it had became a part of you.

Now I've lost me smelling senses. The runny nose blocked all my ability to smell. Right now I would do anything just to be able to smell the roses (eventough personally I never thought that roses smell nice..so much for being a woman huh?)Everything I ate left no taste, nothing tasted good. ..nothing! ..You can serve me with my favourite dishes right now and I still wouldn't drool. I lost my appetite. the sight of wonderful food don't get you salivating..smelling it does that. I guess if you want to take up diet..try by not smelling it..you will be donning the skimpiest clothes you had been envisaging about in no time.

muy mal

Again for uncounted times I fell sick on Hari Raya, I'm geeting tired of this pattern. Whenever somebody catches cold I'm on the next round of victim and ussually in worst condition (much worst) than virus carrier or when I foolishly thought than I can beat my own body my consuming lots and lots of cold drink,(ice cube are hard to resist you know..especially on a very hot day or breaking fast) the result...catastrophe. My body seems to have the laziest type of antibody that it needs the help of antibiotic to fight what ever infection gnaw on me.It is so lazy that it got me staring in amazement when somebody manage to broke of their fever without the help of a doctor's prescribtion.

And the total lack of fighting spirits of my antibody got me into stuffy nose, sore throat and near feverish on the eve of Hari Raya..(great luck huh..) It turns a bit uglier on the next day..confining me in bed most of the day..but lucky this time I still get to celebrate the first day of Raya without so much trouble...compared to the other times.

A repeat performances if I must say...a few years back on the first day of Raya I had a very high fever that I can't even manage to get out of bed in the morning....I slept of on the effect of medication in my room while all the family and friends were enjoying themself belowstairs. Two years back in was on the second day of Raya..my parent had to rush me to the emergency unit. This time the fever wasn't that high, not so much headache, but the stuffy nose and sore throat was irritating. No lost of voice though..lucky. (Well it suppose to be...I was well equipt with all the medication already) Why can't my antibody work the way it suppose to work?

Amaran keras polis edar gambar autopsi Nurin dalam Internet

KUALA LUMPUR 9 Okt.

- Bernama

Catch the idiot and publish his or her face to the whole country. What is wrong with these people. Didn't our Prophet p.u.h teach us to respect the dead and never ever try to humiliate other human being especially if they are dead no matter what bad deed they have done in the past.

The set of picture must be highly classified and yet the idiot find it enjoyable to splash it across the internet. I'm in the most foul mood because of this. I feel like strangling that particular idiot.

A few month back I wrote about the problem of people sending me all these unappropriate email. For me, I don't find it amusing at all to be looking at outopsi photos, accident or even all the soft porn with title to educate. Crap all that. Bannish all these little conniving idiots who disguise themself as the educator of the world!

The problem with autopsi photos being distribute like it were Siti Nurhaliza's photo shoot is the most mind boggling for me as the photos are suppose to confidential only a few people have access and these people are suppose to be smart. I don't think any Tom, Harry or Dick have access to them and yet the supposedly smart did the most dumbest thing of all.

It's okay if you don't have a personal inclination with the dead but please respect him and his family. I don't think there are a single sane family in this world who enjoy the event and basking with glory of the unexpected fame of their deceased family member.

ignorance bliss

Peace cannot be achieved through violence, it can only be attained through understanding. -Ralph Waldo Emerson

Somebody came to me one day and ask why 'Blissful Ignorance' and not something else. That took me by suprise because nobody ever ask me the question since I don't think people really care about what fancy name you put as your blog title. I felt like answering one of those Miss World question, " If ignorance is a bliss why do we seek knowledge?".

The reason why I put Blissful Ignorance as this blog title is the fact when I write something I like to forget that there are people who are going to read that piece of article and have opinion of their own. If I am very self concious about my readers than I wouldn't write a thing. I like to pretend that I wrote to only one person and that person is me (pretty dumb notion considering the fact that people write for the purpose of the thing being read by others unless it is your secret diary not some public domain like a blog). I am quite self concious at times but I've learn by being ignorance about certain things I can do things that I am afraid of.. like public speaking, writing articles or holding my pride high when your boss is just so bloody breathing down your neck. Although I can never put that through karaoke session or my phobia with snake. Its like fashion, if you are so self aware about what you put on than you might end up being plane jane lost in the crowd. Or the plane jane who is afraid to go out at all.

In life we need to have certain degree of ignorance because pleasing everyone is very hard. As to the question earlier " If ignorance is a bliss why do we seek knowledge?" You can answer it in different ways but mine would be 'We seek knowledge because it is the only way we can tolerate being ignorance'

Notion of Newness

Science may have found a cure for most evils; but it has found no remedy for the worst of them all -- the apathy of human beings -Hellen Keller

Why do we here celebrate Hari Raya the way we do?, We have a strange culture of celebrating the day. Don't get me wrong. I wasn't questioning the reason why God gave us the opportunity to celebrate after a month of figthing our inner demon not to mention thirst and hunger. But why do we make a fuss about new stuff, Hari Raya cookies and others. The month of Ramadhan was suppose to teach us the meaning of starvation, to reflect the people who aren't so lucky, so we grasp the meaning that every human is the same no matter what status they live. But do we? I see pasar Ramadhan being fully crowded, hotels get extra customer with meals that can last for months. People fork out money more than any other month. Aren't Ramadhan suppose to teach us how to control our lust. Not loose it.It suppose to make the poor feel appreciated not depreciated (as every of them would feel when the whole nation is crazy about getting new
things..)
It is getting crazier and crazier here.

When I was in Jordan, they don't have all this stupid notion. Well they celebrate is by visiting relatives but no one get too over excited with the notion of newness. They don't have Raya cookies to boost or new curtain to drape their houses. They have chocolate though. Just a few. They exchange gifts. It was just a day, by the next things return to its somber way. No Hari Raya offers in supermarket. Nobody is crazy enough to buy a whole wardrobe of new clothes to celebrate Hari Raya for a month. In fact between Ramadhan and Hari Raya, Ramadhan was a more festive month.Yes! Not the other way around!. Wasn't that what it suppose to be.

If a banking represention are used, I would say that Ramadhan is the month when you can increase you investment by hundreds of percent and Hari Raya just ended it. Bad isn't it.But we are too busy with rendang, ketupat and lemang I suppose to even realise what we are missing and where we are heading.

Behind those eyes

All that she wanted to do was go to the night market to buy some stuff. It was nearby and it supposed to be just a quick shopping spree so her mom had given her the permission to go alone as many times before. It just a quick one..she kept reminding her. She understood that perfectly.

The day was like any other day, go buy and come back. It was easy. She had done it before, numerous of times. She now how to count the money so the stall keeper wouldn't duped her. She know where to buy the things she wanted. It was a perfect day like any other day. Except that night she wasn't going back. That night her life was about to change. Everything is about to change... forever

Who is he? Why did the guy had to taken her away from her parents. Why couldn't she go home? She was starving..there is hardly any food and her body is in pain. She doesn't want to experience the pain again. But they didn't stop.. They keept tearing her apart. It was painful..no it was more than painful. She cringed as person try to attact her again but she can't do anything he was too strong. She cried, yelling until her lung gave up, until there was no more tears to be shed. But nobody listen, they just don't care. Why can't they stop abusing her body? What is it that they want? She keep hoping her parents would come..they must come. If only she could tell them where she was...She lost track of time...

Her body can't take it anymore..the pain started to go away, it was all numb, she can't feel anything anymore..the sound died down, she tried blinking her eyes but total darkness clip the last of her sight..she thought she saw an angel..It must be an angel..at last.. someone had come to save her. Her body was not in pain anymore. The bad guy is gone. There was silience..peace and she thinks it is for eternity.

Al-Fatihah for Nurin Jazlin Jazimin..May God bless her with serenity and peace in heaven. Amin.

Lets have fun..

Alright the devil is currently given the time off..hehehe. Lets pray that the devil inside us doesn't rise the become to the resident evil during the holy month of Ramadhan.

Anyway I am here not to preach although I have a couple of time wanted to strangle a few couple and person for their lack of respect both to the religion that they suppose to uphold and themselves.

Since I'm currently on the impression that I lack motivation and the desire to write usefull stuff..and had been searching for topics to cover. Although I must say the Auditor's General Report was an interesting subject ..even though it was actually an ancient problem..one that has rooted from the early days of politiking. Just proves how stupid some people can be.

Back to the topic..let have fun...my form of entertainment at the moment is guessing where words came from. Okay it's a dreadfully boring hobby and more suited to linguistic major person not one with background in understanding science and biolog but its fun..

1. Did you know that the word 'OK' is not from England..it came from their once upon a time colony, the 'United States of America' which now become almost common in modern day language around the world.

2. The word like 'alcohol' 'elixir' 'admiral' 'alchemist', 'algebra', 'algorithm', 'almanac' and 'alkali' came from Arabic words. Notice the 'Al' infront of the words. Arabic words commonly begins with 'al' or 'l'.It just prove that many Islamic scholar researches in the subject of Chemistry and mathematics had served as fundamental background in the subjects before it were developed by the European.

3.The word 'boss' is actually Dutch

4.America is the name of an Italian map maker.

5.'Ghetto'..is was actually the name of a Jewish settlement in Venice back in the 15th century. It must have gotten really bad since all ill looking community these days are refered as 'ghetto'

6. 'Malaria' came for the italian word 'mal'(bad) and 'aria' (air) because initally people thought the disease is cause by stale air.

7. 'Dengue' is Swahili..

8. The place name 'Wimbledon' happens to be the property of a wealthy Englishman which the people refers to as 'Wynnmann's hill'

CSI..CSI..CSI

Temper's the one thing you can't get rid of, by losing it -Dr. Buddy Rydell (from the movie Anger Management)

Today I feel like writing about one of my favourite TV show Crime Scene Investigation, which sometimes proof that you don't need to add too much recipe of sexually explicit to make a good series..good. Among the thre CSI's team..(Las Vegas, New York and Miami) I like to watch the original CSI (the Las Vegas team) and the second spin off of the series..the New York team mainly because they have a great scripwriter team. They always have a witty way to say things..they don't know everything and they act like human with mistake..fear and laughter. Which sadly is missing from all the too serious too good team of CSI Miami, Horatio Cane being the main always knowing character are just too good to be true and the script lack the punch that make CSI the original such an adorable series.

The guy..(I'm refereing to Horatio Cane here) is always too serious, no joking around..which I get, they need a superior whom people can take seriously but to always know things, figuring the right things and always seeing the right clue when no one else did are just out of believable realms. The character are to calm even when in most desperate hours. Like yesterday..they got a bomb in a car which is their garage eith 4 minutes before blow up..and what did Mr know everything did..he drive the care to the beach and walk out from it..very slowly, very calm and just wear his sunglasses when the car exploded right behind him. He didn't even care to duck in the safest place in case one of the car's door or glasses flew across. How unrealistic is that?

Thankfully his counterpart in Las Vegas and New York doesn't have his extra ordinary ability of being correct and calm.

For me a good drama consist of good script then good acting. If the script were bad in the first place even Al Pacino can't save the day. Sadly enough our own product lack that. We don't have a team of people dedicated in presenting punching lines in drama or film. Sometimes it just dreadfully boring or just plain unnatural..anyone thinks the police in Gerak Khas were cool? Plain school children script, and when they do try to be funny why is it have to be like some bad joke. Can't they be jus witty and smart?

Take Ocean's 13 for example..there are a scene where Danny Ocean (the good looking George Clooney) and Rusty Ryan (the adorable Brad Pitt) were suppose to discuss their plan but Danny was watching Oprah and was crying (the macho guy + Oprah..hehehe)..Rusy wanted to laugh but after watching the show..he started to sob as well..and the two of them just stand there watching and sobing, they don't have to be funny but the scene was.

August song update, ‘Leave Out All the Rest’ by Linkin Park, from their latest album, Minutes to Midnight. It is a very good album put together by a bunch of people who really know what they want in their album and not what people want them to sell. I like most of the songs except a few which for me had to much yelling or screaming by Chester or to much electric guitar in it like ‘Wake’ and ‘No More Sorrow’. (It’s just not my type of song…I am more into their ‘My December' type of song) But other than that most of the songs in the album is great like ‘Hands Held High’ which had a soothing music to it with good message in its lyric. ‘The Little Things Give You Away’ is okay although I kept hoping it have more upbeat chorus rather than sounding like a very long song without chorus. ‘What I’ve Done’ which became the Transformer the movie soundtrack pretty much scream ‘Linkin Park’ right from the start. You just knew it was them. As for ‘Leave Out All the Rest’ I just got hook right away after listening to the first verse, a nice blend of music and vocal by Chester. A great job by Linkin Park.

Hold up your head

The only reward of virtue is virtue; the only way to have a friend is to be one - Ralph Waldo Emerson

For a few days the newspaper has been viewing opinion about the freedom of blogging. Some are just furious at blogger for writing such malicious accusation and some are furious at the people who are mad, saying that we live in a world where freedom of speech is part of being independence. And the country will be celebrating its 50th years of independence so what the fuss about writer writing.

For me it all goes back to the virtue you hold as a person. Being in a business where back stabbing is a common method of killing enemy, I can only say one thing. If we hold our pride of being right it doesn’t give you the right to trashes other people. A wise man once said ‘Never argue with idiots, they only will make you stood to their level’. Which is true, there is no point trying to correct everything a half brainer is throwing at you. What is truer is the fact that when a person accused other people of something, or writes about it is a reflection of the person themselves. The more they speak the more part of their lives is being reveal. I haven’t live that long but I’ve learned from experience that the more people complaint, the more part of their lives is the one in trouble. It’s like their subconscious trying to avoid the blame off all the wrong in their lives by directing it to other people instead. So they can be happy because the other person is as miserable as they are if not worst. People who are contented with their lives can never be bothered to see what is wrong with the neighbour’s yard.

When I first heard about all the malicious things people are throwing at our company, I was mad. But after a few more doses, you grew tired of it and stop caring. If you are right then no matter how many brick and stones they throw at you, they can’t shake you. And returning the favour is not a way out. Held your pride high and respect your brain. The superpower computer you have in that skull of yours deserved the uttermost respect. . It like conventional computer if you direct it to too much smut on the internet it will slow down but if you clean in up. It will serve you faster.

So our virtues Lie in the interpretation of the time - William Shakespeare

Strange

My religion consists of a humble admiration of the illimitable superior spirit who reveals himself in the slight details we are able to perceive with our frail and feeble mind - Albert Einstein

I had the strangest things happen to me today; as I was driving I saw a car with the word ‘Sabotage’ at it’s back and I kept thinking, who would put such word on the back of a car. I’ve seen all the little cute sometimes funny quote people stick at the back of their car but the word ‘Sabotage’ just scream outrageous. As I came closer the words is actually ‘Sportage’ the car. I knew the car, know how its look likes yet I was totally blank when my eye caught the glimpse of the word at the back. I should have knew right then that it spelled Sportage not Sabotage, yet my mind played it little “I’m blur” thing.

Okay I have to admit my eyesight are not perfect 20/20, I wear glasses (although rarely because it gave me headache and I hate having headache. It swing my entire mood to a near hysterical when something is wrong) But still not to recognizing a big word printed at the back of a car even my little brother can identify from a far was weird. It’s like one of those days when you saw something you know by heart yet when you saw it, you brain was empty…nothing, zero… nada.

hey i'd like to daze away to a place no one has known in a state of mind i could call mine, that only i could own where i could hum a tune any time i choose and there's no such thing as time where i can feel no pain, just calm and sane what a place for one to find - Unknown

Tempremental Day

So of cheerfulness, or a good temper, the more it is spent, the more it remains - Ralph Waldo Emerson

An emotional train wreck! I can’t help feeling that I am an emotional train wreck right now (and it’s not in my PMS period yet). I need to blow some steam at somebody or something right now. Dad punching bag is a good alternative. The other alternative would be speaking in a very high tone to other person who seems to irritate me right now but the thing is, I am more textual than verbal. Every time I tried to blow up at someone, my heart would race, my tongue feels numb and I end up mumbling or stuttering just to get the sentence right. My word jumble up and there is no way the person could understand me. I learned about my so called incapability that I opted for ‘silince the virtue’ thing rather than verbal attack. But the thing with silencing is not everyone understand what your silence protest is all about.

The worst-tempered people I've ever met were the people who knew they were wrong - Wilson Mizner

Malaysian..get of your butt

A quite interesting news I recently found..

Guna mesin antara punca wanita gemuk keterlaluan

24-07-2007 06:45:23 PM

Okay in a way what the article said is right..but you can't blame the women for using the so called modern technology. For a household like mine which consist of 7 the laundry is the size of a small army. Clothes for school, exercise, work, home ,bed...my mom would be living in the bathroom if she didn't use washing machine. Men uses elivator too...hey I know some men who are just too lazy to even lift a pen.

Ohh by the way stop blaming women for the obvious fat growth. At least she had her reason..she got pregnant and give birth, the should be some loose end. She got a house load of things to look after. But how about men who don't get pregnant so they don't obviously eat for two, don't give birth but still end up looking like they are 10 month pregnant and the baby just won't get out.
Technology is so much fun but we can drown in our technology. The fog of information can drive out knowledge.- Daniel J. Boorstin

Gigi Bijaksana

Nothing is so strong as gentleness. Nothing is so gentle as real strength. - Frances de Sales

Dalam bahasa Inggeris gigi yang paling akhir tumbuh sering dipanggil 'wisdom tooth' jadi dalam bahasa Melayu bolehlah dipanggil gigi bijaksana, wisdom=kebijaksaan (betulkan wahai guru-guru bahasa malaysiaku semua??...)

Gigi bijak, gigi cerdik, gigi pandai ..tak kiralah apa pun yang orang panggil yang pasti gigi ni telah menyeksa aku hampir berbulan-bulan lamanya. Sejak aku belum habis belajar lagi dah ada tanda-tanda nak keluar tapi sampai hari ni baru sipi-sipi jer yang nampak. Selalunya aku tak kisahkan sangat sebab sakitnya hanya sengal-sengal biasa macam budak-budak nak tumbuh gigi. Sekejap sakit sekejap hilang.

Namun malangnya apabila perut aku dah stabil kembali, gigi bijaksana aku pulak yang menyeksa. Sakit teramat. Nak tak nak, kena jugak jumpa doktor gigi...(sebenarnya dalam hidup aku, inilah pertama kali aku pergi berjumpa doktor gigi selain jururawat pergigian yang datang melawat sekolah tu) Nak buat macam mana gigi aku sememangnya sihat. Badan aku jer selalu sakit..heheheh

Bukak jer mulut terus doktor cakap nak buat pembedahan buang terus gigi bijaksana tu.

Ikutkan doktor hari ni jugak dia nak bedah cabut gigi bijaksana tu, tapi sebab aku baru jer baik daripada keracunan makanan maka mungkin hari Isnin nanti baru buat 'operation'.

Buat masa ni terpaksa la aku makan Panadol, kalau sakit sangat telan 'Pongstan' nak kurangkan bengkak 'gargle' air garam. Aaarrggghh seksa

Haaaachummm

3G syndrome.

Dad went to KL, so its just mom, the three little chipmunks and me. Mom decided not to go since its not school holidays or else I have to take care or the three like before and in order to keep the house clean and every little chores are done according the the 'guide from mom' handbook, I had bribe them.(yup..not the right way to make kids under 15 listen to you but since I'm not their mother and happens to be their big sister that is nice and seldom punish them my words is not an order to them). So I had to take them to movies buy some toys just to make sure no one hurt the other while I went to work and obligue every orders I gave them. Kids..pain in butt but cute.

KL banjir lagi...

Dah hampir dua bulan rasanya aku tak turun ke KL. Baca berita KL dilanda banjir lagi, terowong SMART yg berharga 1.43 billion tu nampaknya tak berapa bistari.

Keliling rumah pulak padang.

hah..nampak katak...hehehe, dah bersemak samun rupanya blogger aku ni. Stage6

Sebenarnya banyak jer cerita, dari hal kenaikkan gaji penjawat awam (JPA ni sampai bila nak gantung aku...) hal harga barang yang jugak naik. (roti canai Wahid tu makin kecik jer aku tengok..dah macam patung Matrusyka (patung famous Russia yang adik aku bawak balik) patung tu pun macam roti canai kat Malaysia ni..konsepnya makin lama..makin kecik). Patung ni kalau tengok ader satu jer tapi bila buka ader lagi kecik dalam tu..lagi buka ader lagi anak dier ..biler bukak sumernya dekat 32 buah patung ader dalam tu. Yang lagi banyak pun ader tapi adik aku tak beli. Kreatif tak orang Russia?

Yang jatuh pulak..syiling-syiling di bangunan kerajaan. Ironikkan?. Naik gaji syiling jatuh. Harga syiling tepung gandum naik syiling kat bangunan Mahkamah baru yang berjuta-juta jatuh merudum. Tukang paip pulak masa ni mesti kerja 'over time' sebab sana-sini sumer pakat bocor. Kalau aku jadi menteri aku heret semua kontraktor-kontraktor tu pergi mahkamah sebab makan duit rakyat tapi keje tak der kualiti. Kalau kat Korea dah lama hukum penjara. Kalau ader kes yang mati macam kes pasaraya runtuh dulu terus dengan pak-pak menteri pun diorang heret hukum mati. Tapi kat Malaysia ni nama kontraktor tu pun main sorok-sorok tak bagi orang lain tahu.

Masuk bulan Jun dah ada struktur harga baru untuk para pelanggan..harap-harap lepas ni hidup aku kembali aman lepas kecoh lebih dua bulan. Ekspo kembali tapi tahu ni aku duduk senyap-senyap sebab banyak orang baru yang 'joint venture' jadi aku jadi orang sebalik tabir jer la. Lain la macam tahun lepas, naik pagi sampai malam..bila letak kepala atas bantal jer terus hilang ke alam lain. Tahun ni sempat lagi berangan-angan..hehehe.

Where the heart is..

Heart ; ‘härt

The heart is a pear shaped, muscular organ in vertebrates, responsible for pumping blood through the blood vessels by repeated, rhythmic contractions, or a similar structure in annelids, mollusks, and arthropods.[1] The term cardiac (as in cardiology) means “related to the heart” and comes from the Greek καρδία, kardia, for “heart.” The heart is composed of cardiac muscle, an involuntary muscle tissue which is found only within this muscle. - Source: Wikipedia
There is an ancient saying that says, “the heart is a complicated thing”. Which is true in some ways! You can have heartaches, heart attacks, hearty breakfast, more hearts for every little thing that mattered. They even created catchy song titles with the word heart in it! There is the song “Heart Break Hotel” and the ever famous “Achy Breaky Heart”.

Well, the heart is not only complicated, it’s very special to us. People dare say, you can’t be alive without a heart. I mean no brains? That’s small a matter, you will be just a stupid person or in medical terms, “brain dead” which they will bravely say you’re dead (to the doctors) but without a heart, you’re a good as a dead too! Infact you’ll be the most dead person I can think off! Why? Simple rule, no heart, no passion!

For those who had gone through hardship, through the bad times, the hurtful time, without that heart of yours, you won’t be still reading this entry. When it matters the most, to go that extra mile and I mean even in that decathalon or marathon of yours, it’s your heart that keeps you going, not your brain.

People like to say, it’s all in your mind, it’s in your mind, if you set you mind on it, you will get it, that all a big lie to me. It’s your heart that tells you, not your brain. It’s suppose to be, “If you have the heart you will made it! If you have the passion (which is from your heart), you can do it!”.

If you fall in love with someone, it’s not you brain that tells you, “Hey! I love that guy!” or “Damn, that girl is beautiful!”. It’s your heart that tells you that! Maybe after than your brain will start calculating the pros and cons if its a good choice but your heart made the first move man, he’s the Man (suprise!) It all came down to this most important organ in the human body, the heart. The most hardworking organ in your body, the heart. The most passionate organ in the body, the heart. So the next time people tell you its in your mind, please do them a favour, correct them. It’s actually in your heart.

Ladies, they are always associated with thinking with their heart, sorry to break the rule! Guys think with their heart too! Only that they let their brains decide after that or in another term, their ego that decides (sorry guys they have to know one day!) Let your heart relive your passion it’s a beautiful thing that God create for us all.
Nothing is less in our power than the heart, and far from commanding we are forced to obey it. -Jean Jacques Rousseau.

Nampak sangat jarang bukak. Tambah-tambah matematik tambahan (yang sememangnya subjek ‘kegemaran’ aku) Nasib baik periksa lulus. (Adik-adik sekalian.. jangan ler diikut perangai akak ni, kalau cikgu bagi ‘homework’ buat betul-betul, lulus tu pun nasib jer sebab soalan dier tak sesusah yang disangka). Hah.. ini tips.. kalau dah ‘last minute’ sangat belajar tu..belajar soalan-solan yang amat ler payah, lagi panjang lagi bagus sebab biler keluar soalan senang korang boleh tersengih sambil menjawab..hahaha) Sebab utamanya adalah dalam soalan-soalan yang susah tu terselit cara-cara menjawab soalan-soalan senang tadi. (Tips soalan bocor tak dikira.. persiapan menjawap tips soalan bocor ni lain sikit.. ahakss)

Tengah fikir-fikir nak tukar lagu apa pulak kat sini.. Lepas dipertimbangkan pilih lagu dari Tofu- Tetap Di Sini..yok kita berdansa ala dangdut..

Kita jangan selalu mengharap kerana mengharap tidak pasti tertunai tetapi kita boleh bersabar kerana kesabaran itu mengajar kita erti kehidupan - mutiara kata

Review..hotel

Sejak letak lagu ‘Gantung’ blog ni pun dah macam tergantung. Almaklumler..eden ni semakin sibuk..buat keje 2 tiga jenis dalam satu masa..atau bak kata orang putih ‘multitasking’

Seperti yg dipos kat bawah yang ader gambar kertas kajang berjela-jela dengan tulisan entah hapa-hapa tu sebenarnya benda yang menyebabkan aku menghilangkan diri selama lima hari. Tak sempat langsung nak menulis cerita lain, asyik fikir idea..idea..idea. Walaupun laptop dan broadband tersedia (yang seronoknya broadband kat hotel ni free of charge) Mula-mula ingat kena bayar RM20 sehari tapi bila cuba tak der pulak ‘login page’ atau perjanjian yang kena setuju. Sah tak payah bayar sesen pun. ader.

Kat sini keje aku satu jer..fikir, cari idea..makan, fikir balik, cari idea lain dan makan lagi (nasib baik berat badan aku tak bertambah) sampai ler otak masuk tahap beku dan aku rasa seram sejuk dan dapat demam dan selsema…dan secara tiba-tiba aku jadi peminat no. 1 sayur brokoli dan bunga kobis..Yer la asyik sayur tu jer yang aku pilih waktu makan, yang lain macam layu tak bermaya jer tengok. Sayur kailan sepokok-sepokok,..kalau nenek aku ader mesti dier cakap macam nak bagi gajah telan. Tapi itu ‘style’ chef dia masak, dah dia belajar cam tu.

Hari ni aku rasa nak buat review sikit pasal Hotel City Bayview nie. Agaknyer lagi banyak bintang lagi mahal la kot. Sebab mengikut perkiraan ahli falak..Grand Blue Wave Shah Alam tu 5 bintang manakala City Bayview Pulau Pinang ni tarafnyer 4 bintang sahaja.

Staf kat sini sumer peramah-peramah. Sentiasa sedia membantu, sebab lama menetap diorang pun sampai dah kenal.

Roti, telur, cornflakes, baked beans tu dah pasti.

Bean...

Some folks are wise and some are otherwise-Tobias Smollett

After a tiring day promoting things at the Asian Bike Tour decided to take some time off not following dad who attended dinner with a bunch of people from KL. Instead decided to go and watch Mr. Bean’s Holiday instead at Queensbay. How can anybody hate Mr. Bean? The movie was great although during the first fragment is seems that is was a repeated show of things he used to do but as the story evolve in became more interesting and funnier. It was really a simple storyline, Mr. Bean won a vacation trip to a beach in France all he needs to do is ride a train the to destination but when he misses his first train being strangled by the ticket machine that is where everything starts to go wrong.

It is an English film but the whole time everybody speaks France. It really shows how when one nation can be proud of their own language others will respect. Unlike us who like to ridicule every Malay speaking creature we know. When somebody sounded ‘Malay’ with their English we laugh pretending to be the perfect Queen’s English speaker ever live.

Knowledge comes, but wisdom lingers. -Alfred Lord Tennyson

Email sengal...

Hiatus

Hallo Again!!

It is a thousand times better to have common sense without education than to have education without common sense.- Robert Green Ingersoll.

Nothing much to write lately, just finished watching the Switzerland Open..yeah and the Malaysian team won again. Hopefully they can be like Nicol David who is now on a never ending lucky strike. And not fall apart like Hafiz Hashim did...
Anyway found this piece of new in The Star. I ws suprised that this kind of thing happen in Malaysia too. This news reminded me of a film 'Catch Me if You Can' starring Leonardo di Caprio about a con man who pretend to be everyone else but himself to get through with life. He pretended to be lawyer too and was about to marry anothers lawyer daughter or it was the judge's daughter if I'm not mistaken.
Bogus lawyer practised in three states
By WANI MUTHIAH

KLANG: He was cool and convincing enough to fool his clients, judges and lawyers. He knew enough legal jargon to appear in court and even mentioned cases on behalf of his “fellow” lawyers.

But in the end, it was his dressing that gave him away. One day he appeared in court wearing an ordinary shirt and bib, triggering suspicion among other lawyers.

Selangor Bar Committee member N. Logen said, “A qualified lawyer and a member of the Bar would definitely know that he should have worn a wing-tip collared shirt with a bib. We became suspicious.”

The Selangor Bar Committee called up the Bar Council to check if his name was on its list. At the same time, the lawyers expressed their suspicions to a magistrate and a Sessions court judge in Klang.

When the man, who is in his 40s, appeared before the magistrate, he was asked to produce his practising certificate. The man gave some excuse and said he would produce it later. At about the same time, the Bar Council replied that his name was not on its roll and a police report was lodged.

But before the man could be nabbed, he bolted. All that took place in 2004. By the time he made his escape, he had “practised” law in Klang for eight months from his “firm” based in Bukit Tinggi, Klang.

During his stint in Klang, he had represented several clients, mentioned cases in the Shah Alam High Court and also mentioned cases on behalf of his “colleagues”. Once, he even successfully applied for bail for a suspect in a rape case in the Klang Sessions Court.

Police are trying to piece together what he did after he scooted off from Klang and it is believed that he “practised” as a lawyer in Kuala Lumpur where he was arrested and jailed for two months for fraud in 2005.

After that, he tried his luck in Johor Baru, where it is believed that he opened a “legal” firm and continued “practising” as a lawyer.

However, the long arm of the law finally caught up with the bogus lawyer on Thursday some 900km from his office when he went to Alor Star for his wedding.....there are more in the paper ohh well he can learn the jargon but he can't learn how to dress up. I wonder if these kind of thing like how to dress up for court wasn't written in a book or did he get the wrong book? But I must admire his determination and courage.

Experience is one thing you can't get for nothing.-Oscar Wilde

work and play

Just came back from KL...yup again. Had to sit through a boring seminar for a whole day. While everyone else were eating lunch...take time off to play ping-pong at the club house. (Boy! I suck big time...sorry I am a lousy player Mr but it was fun).

As I was in the hotel room I started thinking maybe I should write a hotel review since I've stayed in almost all kind of hotel. From the no star to the shining glittery hotels with a lot of stars. But yet I'm too lazy to even fill in the customer review sheet..how can I write a proper hotel review.

Well the seminar ended..and I got a few extra days to relax before my work is complete so decided to go on KL tour. Visit a few friends...just my luck I got the chance of a life time to visit Istana Budaya up-close. I mean very close. I was there a few times but always as spectator of drama or musicals but this time I got to be on the stage. No audience though...I will be freak out if there is.. See all the technology they adapted to be the number 2 most prestigous performance hall in the world. (yup..number one would be Albert Hall in London). I knew what it was like from the aundience area but that day I got chance to see the backstage anatomy. Some school kids were practising in the Lambang Sari room which is a smaller stage next to the Panggung Sari Stage. They were cute. Found out that they just replace to carpet last Ramadhan.. I wonder what was wrong with the previous one?...government do have a lot of money to throw out I guess.

Money

Pecunia, si uti scis, ancilla est; si nescis, domina (if you can use money, money is your slave; if you can't, money is your master) - Latin phrases.

Can money buy you happiness? cliche question with yet another cliche anwer...NO!. but yet having more money in today era of modernization where almost everything is judge on how you present yourself money do seems like the ultimate ultimatum.

I work because I want money..and the thing about money is it is never enough..to more you get the more you want it. Yup I'm being greedy...but its true...you make enough today and you think you are satisfied but tomorrow you will try harder to make much more. I knew because I am on of those people. To see the numbers in your bank account grow can be very addictive.

But one thing for sure is 'health' is much powerful then 'wealth'. The amount of money people are willing to spend just to be healthy is incredible...I heard a seminar recently by this famous US guy that says who ever in the health industry is going to benefits the most in this millenium. In the 90's people who are in IT bizz where the one getting rich but now its time for those in health. I'm hoping I am on the right track...and I hope my greediness will go away for good...hehehe.

March song by Nelly Furtado..I like to music video ..especially the dance part.
