Once again Malaysia come under world’s eyes with the Anwar - Saiful debacle. A repeat of 1998 script but with a twist…this time it can be categorize as a comedy (the 1998 was more towards drama…with the Godfather’s twist). Let’s check the fact of this 2008 comedy, Anwar is under fire for having ‘consensual out of the ordinary sex’ with the fool. So Anwar need to go to court trying to defend himself on why can’t he keep his pants on, while Saiful the more fool get to be home playing the abused victim. (and here I thought it was consensual)…hmm puzzling.

OK…let’s change the story a bit, let say a girl name Jane had a consensual sex with a guy name John. After 8 times of playing rabbits, Jane got angry because the guy don’t want to play house anymore so she lodge a police report. What do you think the police would do?

I don’t think the police will even try to find this John guy, and accuse him of rape, because the ‘victim’ willingly put herself in those shoes. John might be in trouble if Jane is underage but since she is 23, I doubt they can find a judge that will agree to put John in the jail for having some fun with a willing ‘victim’.

The sure thing the police will do is throws away the case and called Jane a ‘cheap slut’ behind closed door. Nobody will try to take the case the higher authority and find justice for Jane because she doesn’t deserve one. Case closed.

But in this modern tale of The Taming of the Shrew with a twist (in this case we can’t really point who is the shrewdest of them all). (If I got it straight) if a guy had a consensual sex with another guy (apparently an old one), the allegedly ‘willing victim’ will be avenge by the country and the old guy with back pain need to stand trial for his misdemeanour while the 23 years old youth with a brain the size of a pea (although I suspect there are more pea brain in this case than in the National Bird Park) got the police protection…

So if my deduction is correct, if you are a girl and had consensual sex with an old guy…don’t waste your time reporting to the police because it only make you look twice the fool. It only will put you in the ‘cheap whore’ category. Even worse they might blow you up with C4. (If you had sex with the American president than you can become the thrash tabloid 60 seconds to fame material…remember Monica Lewinsky)

BUT…if you are a guy and decided to play rabbit with another guy…perhaps maybe…just maybe… you can play the national hero, get police protection, didn’t get accuse (because he is the one who lodge the police report according to Hamid Albar book of justice) and maybe even become rich in the process (theoretically)

I didn’t study law in school (because it so twisted I rather learn Calculus and Algebra) but don’t you think there is something wrong somewhere (bak kata Makcik Merry) in the story...

P/S: I’m of to watch the Olympics opening…sometimes I wish I get to be one of Disney’s Imagineers…
