It's official, Penang is under DAP. Well its funny when some people keeps telling me that I should be scared since now Penang is under DAP. (come one people..Penang was under Gerakan before this, the Chief Minister was Dr. Koh Tsu Koon..still a Chinese). My life and all the people around me still go on like every other day before this. So nothing really changes only the fact that DAP has decided to throw away the Dasar Ekonomi Baru (DEB) along with all traffic summons and compounds. All the UMNO is jumping to the gun in telling that one day the Malay will dissapear from the island.As a concept DEB has all the glory but sadly when it comes to implementing it.only a handful of people manage to get into the DEB system...by the way there are no more DEB..it has been changed to Dasar Pembangunan Negara (DPN)..so you can't really throw away something that is not there in the first place

All the high rise condo in Gurney Drive did not include the Malay nelayan who were left to fend for themselves in the big concrete jungle.At the end they have no income, no land and no future. Did the DEB manage to help them? No

It was not all the Malay communities in Tanjung Tokong where their houses was being bulldozed down to make way for so called developement under UDA Holdings.Where are all the UMNO people when this people are pleading their cases?.

One thing I still don't get is why do we need to keep telling ourself that the Malay are a hopeless lot!. how low is our self esteem?. Do we need to keep telling our young generations that the Malay will eventually die because the government is not helping us?. It's a physicology stuff...if we keep hearing how people think we are bad..not matter how much self-esteem you have, sooner or later you will eventually believe it..if not the whole provocation but at least a bit has been embeded to you brain. It's like the ugly duckling story...even though it grow up being a beautiful swan..it still doesn't realise it because the ugly term has been engraved through out it's upbringing. Do we need do have that kind of unhealthy endoctrin as well?

Can't we be like the Jewish clan (forget the Palestine part). They keep telling themself they are superior than others. So no matter where they end up they can still manage to live. Not hanging to some pathetic excuses like DEB not to become succesful.
