The Noughties recap...

Let's recap the whole exciting decade of the nougthies, (God I'm old...) You know you are old once your kid sister started messaging you asking what course in university she should apply and instead of getting taller you are getting wider. (where did I put those jogging shoes)

Let start at 2000 - barely out of school, start of the whole open SPM concept, which turned into a whole decade of debate between MP who thinks they are smart (no, I'm not sending my children to government school at all, they all went to international school up the hill and out of the county but I'm allowed to screw the whole national system because I'm the MP). Should student be allowed to take 20 subject when only 1/3 of it will be useful for the future so they can score credits to university.

I'm not going to dwell further on that since let's face it they can't even come up with a conclusion on what language to teach these children. Poor little lamb, the guinea pig of the ever presence political power vs quality education.

Finished SPM with few credits which allow me to slot into the mighty and powerful (churn them as you go) Matriculation system. The whole system made me realized what a lucky student I was going to a merry go round school where students don't really care about the results we just want to have fun.

Backstreet Boys and N'Sync still sings and Britney Spears is still sane...

2001 - Spent it trying to cope with the whole matriculation system, mind you never been to a boarding school before, these bunch of students from MRSM and SPB looks like they ascended from some kind of Mount Olympus for me. (all mighty and powerful, straight A's in hand where as mine was more on the colourful side)The whole system look like one rigid tight on rope, move it or loose it. Luckily enough I had enough brain power to survive and pass. Those Mount Olympians are not that a bad bunch at all.

2002 -2006 - Went to UM with one hope, getting a degree without being kick-out or getting in trouble. Those were the days, I'm not sure how to recap that, school, exams, KLCC, Midvalley, KFC, McD's...few EEG experiments thrown in and not such a successful Matlab programming we survived and graduated.

2007 - 2010 - The years when you realize grey hair started the day you receieve the paycheck. Dabble with web programming, selling stuff and learn more about vitamins than what my body needs. Get bored and applied to learn why the X-rays is such a fascinating subject. (much more on I'm not tempted to learn Algebra and Calculus the second time around, been there, done that...and still couldn't figure out half of it). So end up in a country that have a history and museums, cold blighting weather and some occasional sunshine. Food that is not that bad if you cook it yourself and shopping is not a tedious thing to do once you stop mental calculating every time you shop. The once empire and now crumbling under economic pressure the UK.

Britney goes nuts...and still there apparently.. Lady Gaga comes out churning pop songs with weird fashion style, and it's getting weirder by the minute. Justin Bieber learns to lip sync and Taylor Swift writes another endless puppy love song...(again!)

2011 - Lets hope the new decade brings a much more colorful things to come.

Ohh yeah let's not forget I need to find a job at the end of this one (I'm not going into the whole singledom route now...it's tiring).
