How to: Specific Page Numbering in Microsoft 2007

Normal page number with Microsoft Word 2007 is very straight forward just go to Insert > Page Number (under the 'header and footer' group).

However, inserting page number to specific pages is quite a tricky feat in Microsoft 2007. So how exactly do you insert page number to document page specify by yourself?

1. Go to the page you want to insert page number and navigate your mouse to Page Layout > Breaks (under 'page setup' group) > Continuous (click on it)

2. Now go to Insert > Page Number and select the layout for page numbering you want

3. Go to Design and unclick on Link to Previous (under the 'Navigation' group)

4. Move up one page (from the one you want to start numbering from), and delete that page number.

5. Still under Design tab go back to the page you want to start numbering from and select Page Number (under 'header and footer' group) > Format Page Number (to specify starting number for that particular page and formatting of the numbering.
