Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion. That is just being "in love" which any of us can convince ourselves we are.

Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Your mother and I had it, we had roots that grew towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossom had fallen from our branches we found that we were one tree and not two.

Happens to read someone's blog and came across a sad story. A story written by a guy who had lost his love due to some unseen circumstances. A real story indeed. Not that he is related to me but since I had been following the girl and guy's blog for quite a long time ( I had a wierd job last semester...and because of that I had a new hobby..reading people's blog). So when something like this happens it sends you through a time warp for a moment. Remembering all the things you've done for someone you love, or everthing you wish you had done but never did because you are just to afraid to move forward and take the risk.(I'm not talking about stupid action in the name of love here...).

Life is full of suprises..cliche, but it's true. The girls was a medical student with a dream of building her own private hospital and of course marrying him. And all the guy wants was to marry her.But fate left him alone.

I wished for nothing beyond her smile, and to walk with her thus, hand in hand, along a sun-warmed, flower-bordered path.-Andre Gide
