Perfect love is rare indeed - for to be a lover will require that you continually have the subtlety of the very wise, the flexibility of the child, the sensitivity of the artist, the understanding of the philosopher, the acceptance of the saint, the tolerance of the scholar and the fortitude of the certain." -Leo Buscaglia
Love month is back! So people if you got somebody special be prepare because prices of chocolate and roses will hike this time of the month. Love songs will be playing all day when you go shopping and everything seems to turn pink with hearts all over. Try to enjoy it as much as the flower seller even though you will end up a little poorer and the florist will end up richer than before. That is what they called love all around
I never get the spirit of Valentine’s so much love is something you should celebrate all year long, not on a day some Saint died! Once I heard that the Valentine’s celebration was created by Hallmark so they can sell greeting cards...hehehe. Most probably this is not true since well even though Hallmark did make money out of it but the company only started in 1915, almost 500 years after Charles, Duke of Orleans sent the first card when he was imprison at the Tower of London. Even the first commercial cards were created in 1840 by Ester Howland. Although neither Ester Howland nor Hallmark created Valentine’s, you have to agree that somehow they did popularize it. If not how can almost 1 billion cards are sold each year? A very lucrative business I must say...here is my theory about why love cards seems to sell so much these days even though you have internet. Your friend might not mind you sending them e-card on Eid Fitry but to send e-card on Valentine’s ....dude! What a frugal creature you are!... doing that you might end up celebrating alone. So being a good boyfriend you went to the store and buy a big heart shape cards and try to be Shakespeare. wonderful isn’t it?
Sometimes when you look back on a situation, you realize it wasn't all you thought it was. A beautiful girl walked into your life. You fell in love. Or did you? Maybe it was only a childish infatuation, or maybe just a brief moment of vanity. -Henry Bromel
