Réception de marriage

There is nothing nobler or more admirable than when two people who see eye to eye keep house as man and wife, confounding their enemies and delighting their friends.
- Homer

Just came back from Mun’s wedding reception. A nice grand wedding reception with a successful itinerary (anyone in event planning would know how hard it is to make everything fall according to plan). But they did it, congratulations.

For me it kind of like a little gathering with a few of the ‘Tengkorakians’, exchange news, jokes…keeping updates on everybody. (Not to mention that we practically laugh out loud when our picture become the itty – bitty tiny part of the slideshow). If my guess were correct, two of Mun’s relative were sitting at our table, they just smile when we start acting like the Botswanan kids that got featured in the news. I just hope they don’t mind sharing table with a bunch of puerile acting adult.

What I like about wedding reception…if it was an air force officer or an army officer wedding I like to watch when the couple walk under swords held by their friends. If it was a civilian wedding, I guess I love to watch when the cut the cake…you know when two people held the knife or sword (or whatever) standing in front of everybody with single determination not to murder the cake. (with all those flower and 2 inch cream, it is pretty hard to stand dignified after such event). It is the time to watch whether the couple were having a fun time or the high heels is killing the bride and lace is starting to itch and they just want to go home. Watch for the way they smile and you will know.

To keep your marriage brimming, with love in the wedding cup, whenever you're wrong, admit it; whenever you're right, shut up. -Ogden Nash

Leen.. thanks for coming... seriously even though we have 3 cds of tengs picture, it's hard to find where there's everybody in the pic... it's always 1 or 2 missing....

lastly i'll answer the questions for you... the high heel is killing me that night!!! actually the one that i rent was 4 inches tall, but after seeing how my mom freak out saying that she can see me falling when wearing that, i have to buy a new one that shorter by 1.5 inches..hehehhh
